Clare Dunn is a fearless performer, a dazzling guitar-slinger, and a powerfully emotive singer whose unique blend of country and rock references a wide range of trailblazing influences, while maintaining a sound that is uniquely hers.
Born where the Oklahoma panhandle meets the sprawling Colorado countryside, Clare grew up driving silage trucks, combines, eighteen-wheelers and spent countless hours behind the wheel of a John Deere tractor, all the while soaking up music on any radio station that could be tuned in. Clapton, George Strait, The Stones, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston and The Eagles created the musical backdrop of her youth as she helped on the family owned farm and ranch in a part of the world where nothing comes without hard work and determination.
After a brief stint in Texas, Clare relocated to Nashville in 2007and quickly carved out her niche within a music scene that often expects too little from its female performers. Able to drive a live show with nothing but a rhythm section, Clare is an accomplished entertainer who has appeared in front of numerous crowds across the country.
Clare has also contributed background vocals on a slew of recordings, including Luke Bryan’s smash Country Girl (Shake It for Me) and has established a crew of songwriting collaborators that includes multi-award winning hit makers Terry McBride, Brice Long, and more, all while completing her Bachelor’s degree in Songwriting Composition from Belmont University.
While attending Belmont, Clare was also awarded the ASCAP Songwriter’s Scholarship and won the ASCAP Writer’s Night Series.
Currently, Clare is continuing to build her live performance following while coproducing
material for her upcoming project.
