The Belmont Arts Collaborative exists to provide artists and organizations the opportunity to produce work in a dedicated performing arts space. We are located in the historic Belmont neighborhood of Charlottesville, Virginia, just a few blocks from the downtown mall. Our 2300 square foot space, with a black box theater that seats up to 99, adjoins the DMR Adventures Academy, which houses 3 rehearsal studios.  If you have a show you’d like to produce or classes you’d like to teach, please reach out to us!

Construction update:
The theater is nearing completion of phase 1 of construction, which includes a new front entrance, green room/dressing room, 2 bathrooms, a kitchenette, a lobby, and the black box theater. The two new front doors and the existing sliding doors are also being improved with a facade project that extends to the center at 221 Carlton.  A sprung floor, a grid and theatrical lighting and curtains will be a part of the next phase of construction.  The space is wheelchair accessible.

Partnership update:
We are currently collaborating with the following organizations: DMR Adventures (the founders of the Belmont Arts Collaborative), the Center for Vocal Study, Big Blue Door, Phoenix Theatre Works, and Valley Fencing Alliance. We hope to announce two new partners in the coming weeks.
