One of the worlds most established co‐production/co-financing markets, the 20th anniversary of Strategic Partners, is now open for project submissions, and industry registrations. In 2017, the focus is on dramatic feature film, television, and digital fiction content created for new and existing platforms. This includes projects in all stages of development, looking for financing and essential partnerships. This September, Strategic Partners will include 50 producers from around the globe, representing a ‘best in class’ roster of officially selected projects. To support these projects, Strategic Partners will host an international senior level delegation of financiers, broadcasters, distributors, sales agents and funding agencies, looking to invest.
Strategic Partners is a one-stop shop for projects looking for partners. A global trendsetter, the event attracts producers whose projects represent fresh and innovative ways to tell stories, across all platforms. Priority is given to projects considered to have both commercial and international appeal. Strategic Partners provides a full agenda of 25 minute, pre-scheduled 1-2-1 meetings with investors/broadcasters/distributors/sales agents, participation in investor and co-production focused roundtable sessions, cutting edge panels and visionary keynote speakers. The event’s two-day linear program is designed to provide unparalleled access to international co-production/ co-financing possibilities. All of this happens under one roof, set against the backdrop of the Atlantic Film Festival and the vibrant, coastal city of Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Wondering how to get involved?
Strategic Partners accepts up to two projects from interested Producers around the globe for official selection. Financiers, broadcasters, distributors, sales agents and senior level producers are invited to register to attend, looking for projects. Funding agencies are also invited to register to expand their network. Space is limited as Strategic Partners ensures the delegate mix supports the objectives of both the projects selected and those attending, looking to invest. The selected projects will be announced, July 2017. Projects and delegates will be selected by a steering committee consisting of Strategic Partners staff and Advisory Board members.
- Minimum full producer credit on one previously produced feature film or television fiction series with a secured distributor.
*Priority will be given to producers whose projects:
- have an available script
- have financing attached
- are suitable to be co-produced/ co-financed with the participation of two or more countries

Trans Atlantic Partners (TAP) is an annual intensive training and networking program for established film and television producers from Europe, Canada and the US.
