August 18 - September 30, 2017

Sign of the Times explored a variety of styles, design trends, and printing technology the delighted the eye, engaged the imagination, and lead visitors to ruminate over past political commitments. The exhibit was curated by Hal Wert, Ph.D., collector and professor of history at Kansas City Art Institute, and was a program of ExhibitsUSA, a national division of Mid-America Arts Alliance with Arkansas Arts Council and The National Endowment for the Arts.

An opening reception was held August 17, 2017. A gallery talk was provided by Dr. Jay Barth, M.E. and Ima Graves Peace Distinguished Professor of Politics, Hendrix College. Music was provided by Dr. Barry McVinney (saxophone) and Mark Binns (piano).
