Playworks at the Clayworks: Bells, Bows and Chins Up is a multimedia event featuring four ensembles comprised of members of the Hutchinson Symphony Orchestra.  These ensembles include Hutchinson Symphony Brass Quintet, Hutchinson Symphony Wind Quintet, Hutchinson Symphony String Ensemble and Hutchinson Symphony’s Quatrocelli.

The afternoon will be broadcast live on YouTube and the groups will be featured in two different performing spaces at Clayworks in Hutchinson!

In between performances, Dianne Blick, Symphony Board of Directors President and Dr. Richard Koshgarian, Music Director of the Hutchinson Symphony Orchestra, will offer commentary and inform viewers of the Hutchinson Symphony’s history, significance, mission, normal season and upcoming events.  In addition, local businesses who have purchased air time or sponsored the performance will be promoted during breaks and intermission.

We are doing this event to diversify our audience, make the Symphony more accessible during this time of COVID-19 and offer those who might never have had the chance to attend a Symphony concert to do so virtually.  This event really meets the Symphony’s mission which is to bring about live orchestra performances of classical and other quality music to the people of our area and to encourage young people to listen to and perform great music.

We hope to see you there!
