The mission of Lake Theatre Productions, Inc. (LTP) is to provide professional theatrical productions to the community, to partner with local academic institutions in the providing of arts training and experience with a professional theatre organization, and to serve the local community by producing theatrical events that address social issues. LTP currently has a working relationship with SUNY Adirondack and provides training via workshops and play readings involving students and theatre professionals. LTP also provides workshops and seminars to the general public.
Lake Theatre Productions, Inc. is a professional not-for-profit organization with 501(c)3 status.
Lake Theatre's New Artistic Director
Longtime Lake Theatre actor and director, Jarel Davidow has been named as the Lake Theatre’s new Artistic Director. Said Lake Theatre Producer, Terry Rabine “Jarel has been a core member of the Lake Theatre artistic team since 2012 and has always been deeply involved in the success of the company. So as the theatre prepared to reorganize, Jarel was an obvious candidate to oversee the company’s artistic vision. “
Mr. Davidow is familiar to Lake Theatre audiences for his onstage roles in THE LOVE LIST, MOONLIGHT AND MAGNOLIAS and THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE (ABRIDGED). He also directed 2016’s ALMOST MAINE and last season’s THE GREAT KOOSHOG LAKE HOLLIS MCCAULY FISHING DERBY.
Davidow also brings significant experience with him to this new position, having been a member of the Oberon Theatre Ensemble and Resonance Ensemble in New York City. His credits also include The Know Theatre in Binghamton, NY; the Bickford Theatre in New Jersey; the New England Shakespeare Festival and The Great American Melodrama in California. Davidow is a member of Actors’ Equity, the union of professional actors and stage managers.
Mr. Davidow will will direct both of Lake Theatre’s 2018 season's dinner theatre productions of Jack Neary's JERRY FINNEGAN'S SISTER and Norm Foster's THE LONG WEEKEND.
