Leawood Stage Company Call for 2020 Directors
For the first time, the Leawood Stage Company invites potential directors to apply to direct shows of their choice.
Leawood Stage Company is accepting applications for three shows for our 2020 Season.
Suggested shows must not have been done by LSC in the past (see below).
Locations and General Specs
The Spring will be indoors at the Lodge and may be a play or musical that will perform on a stage no larger than 24’ X 16’
The Summer show will be a musical to be presented outside at the Ironwoods Amphitheater, and the content must be family-friendly.
The Fall will be performed off site. The performance space will be either blackbox or wide shallow stage that will lend itself to a concert style or lightly staged performance.
To be presented at the Lodge in Ironwoods Park
Performances: March 26-29
To be presented at the Ironwoods Park Amphitheater
Performances: July 9-12 & 16-18
Performance Dates and locations to be determined
Letters of interest are due by June 7, 2019
Applicants for Director for any one or all shows must submit the following at the time of interview:
1. A letter of interest and a basic concept of the show.
2. A current resume including all production work and other relevant theatre experience including location and year.
3. A list of support staff planned; please submit the names and positions considered with bios.
All interviews will be held in June.
