Meet the talented cast and Creative Team of Mame
Seth McClintock most recently co-directed (Oliver) for Leawood Stage Company summer of 2015. As former drama teacher/director at Shawnee Mission West High School Seth directed a myriad of musicals and plays. Regionally and Internationally: Pittsburg, KS Theatre in the Park - (Babes in Arms), The Theatre Program, Campus High in Wichita, KS (Show Boat, Brigadoon, Paint Your Wagon, The Boyfriend, Li'l Abner), David Garrick Theatre in Stockport, England (Oklahoma), The Gaiety Theatre in Dublin, Ireland, (Music Man), De Balie Theatre in Amsterdam, Netherlands (Music Man). Seth also served on the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival as Vice President - Education committee. He is now an active member of the LSC Board.
David Shook wrote and directed (An Evening with Hiltini) Industrial Show for Hilton Hotels Corporation, Writer and Director (The Hein Phen Story) for The Hilton Hotel Walt Disney World Village, Writer and Director for a number of events/industrial shows produced by BUCOM International, Inc. based in Chicago, IL, and most recently co-directed (Oliver) for Leawood Stage Company summer of 2015. He also has performed in numerous regional productions. David is a member of the LSC Board.
Choreographer - Mindy Moritz
Leawood Stage Company Debut! Mindy works as a choreographer for many theatre companies and schools around the Kansas City area. She has choreographed over 130 different musical productions. Mindy also works as an actress. Previous roles include Sister Mary Mildred in Sister Act, and the Egyptian Ancestor in The Addams Family (New Theatre Restaurant), Ernestina Money in Hello Dolly (MTH), Penny in Hairspray (GTIP), multiple roles at the Chestnut Fine Arts Center, and more! Mindy is the Artistic Director of Immeasurable Productions (www.iptheater.com) where she directs and choreographs 4 -5 musicals a year in a one week format. Stage Manager - Caroline Jackson
Caroline is excited to work with Leawood Stage Company on "Mame!" She recently moved to Kansas City from Branson Missouri. In the past year, she has worked on "Mary Poppins" and "Meet Me in St. Louis" with Jones Theatre Company, and "Women" with UMKC Theatre. Upon achieving her Bachelors degree in Musical Theatre Performance from College of the Ozarks, Caroline freelanced as a stage manager and event planner before moving to Kansas City to pursue a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in Stage Management. She would like to thank everyone for welcoming her to the team!
Mame Dennis - Stasha Case
Stasha is thrilled to make her LSC debut as Mame! Recent credits: JCC’s Young Frankenstein (Elizabeth), and OCTA’s Ruthless (Judy/Ginger) and Chestnut Fine Arts’ Always, Patsy Cline (Louise). She has performed in various community and professional theatres and is grateful to David and Seth for this opportunity!
Young Patrick Dennis - Drew Squire
Drew is so excited to perform in Mame. This is Drew's 1st show with Leawood Stage Company. This past year Drew was Charlie in Willy Wonka Jr. (Stage Right) Flounder in The Little Mermaid (Immeasurable Productions) Tiny Tim at KC Rep's A Christmas Carol and Pugsley in The Addams Family (Stage Right) Drew will be a 4th grader at Mission Trail Elementary. In his spare time he enjoys reading, projects, singing and dancing. Drew thanks you for coming to the show!
Patrick Dennis - Alec Bridges
This is Alec’s first Leawood Stage Company production. He graduated from Lee's Summit North where he performed as Frank Abagnale Jr. and received a Blue Star nomination for best leading actor. He is attending UCM where he is majoring in Theatre Education. Alec would like to dedicate his performance to Zoe, his Mom, and D.
Vera Charles - Annette Cook
Mame has always been a show on Annette's bucket list and she is thrilled to be playing the part of Vera Charles with this talented cast and creative team. Through community theatre she has had the opportunity to play many of great female roles, Dolly (Hello Dolly), Golde (Fiddler on the Roof), Mrs. Lovett (Sweeney Todd), Patsy Cline (Always Patsy Cline), Rose (Gypsy) and recently Frau Blucher (Young Frankenstein) at The White Theatre. Annette serves on the Leawood Stage Company Board and is the resident costumer. Thanks to Chris for letting her play and thank YOU for supporting the Arts, enjoy the show!
Agnes Gooch - Elaina Smith
Elaina Smith is thrilled to return to the stage in LSC's production of Mame. A graduate of the University of Kansas, Elaina has performed with various community and opera theatres in the metro.She'd like to give a shout out to her family and friends for their unending love and support!
Beauregard Jackson Pickett Burnside - James Azeltine
This is James’ seventh production with LSC, most recently as Cordell Hull in last summer‘s production of Annie. Many thanks to David and Seth for all of their hard work. Thanks to Andrea for getting me into the musical theater racket and to Debbie for making it all possible.
M. Lindsey Woolsey - Bill Bergman
Bill is honored to be involved in another Leawood Stage Co. show, with this very gifted cast. Community theater has allowed him to enjoy the many talents of his fellow actors. Other show experiences include, Arsenic & Old Lace, Bye Bye Birdie, Annie, Titanic the Musical, The Nerd, Xanadu, The Drowsy Chaperone, thankfully along with many more. Special love to Karen for her support and encouragement.
Louie - Frosty White
Frosty, a veteran actor in the area, is happy to be joining the cast of MAME. He is the proud father of Stasha Case and Trudy Hurley and the proud Grandpa of Lauren Hurley, this year's Jimmy Award nominee from Kansas City. Frosty became involved in community theater in the summer of 1982 when his 2 daughters, Trudy and Stasha refused to play softball anymore. Frosty played Avram in "Fiddler on the Roof" and the orchestra conductor in "Titanic" at the Leawood Stage Company. I'm happy to be onstage with my daughters again.
Dwight Babcock - Rod Chapin
Rod is very happy you're here to share the story of extended family bonding and love in a theater classic. Most recently Rod performed as Grimsby in The Little Mermaid at TITP and Mal in the Addams Family with the Midlife Players. Over the last 40 years Rod has also performed with SMU Tent Theater, UMKC, The White Theater, Starlight, Bald Knob Mountain Amphitheater and the Leawood Stage Company. His favorite role is husband to Pam and father to Grace and Sam.
Mother Burnside / Doris Upson - Debbie Blinn
Debbie is excited to be part of this awesome production. Playing “old” ladies is one of her favorite things. (Type casting, perhaps?) She has enjoyed performing for the past 11 years since returning to her favorite hobby after the kids were raised. A medical technologist by day, Debbie enjoys challenging the left half of her brain and meeting new people she would never meet otherwise. Love to the family!
Gloria Upson - Valerie Knott
Valerie grew up doing any theatre that she could find to do. She has been in the ensemble of many shows. Recently she was able to play Rodmilla De Ghent in Artist for the Orphan’s production of Ever After. She would like to thank her family and friends for their support.
Beverly Devine / Stage Manager - Susan Neu
Susan Neu is excited to return to LSC after Oliver 2015 and My Fair Lady 2016! Other previous shows around town include Big River, Jekyll&Hyde, Jesus Christ Superstar, Bye Bye Birdie, It's A Grand Night for Singing, and A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To the Forum. So grateful to be a part of this talented cast and crew!
Uncle Jeff / Leading Man - Matt Runnells
A recent transplant from Iowa, Matt has spent the last decade of his life in the theater. He recently made his Kansas City area debut as the Mysterious Man in Into the Woods along with Lycus in A Funny Thing. He gives thanks to his family and friends who have supported him through it all.
Cousin Fan - Trudy Hurley
Trudy Hurley portrayed Alice Beane in LSC’s production of “Titanic: the Musical” in 2014. Favorite roles include Chaperone in “The Drowsy Chaperone,” Eulalie McKechnie Shinn in “The Music Man,” and Mazeppa in “Gypsy.” Trudy is grateful for the opportunity to perform with her sister, Stasha Case, and father, Forrest “Frosty” White.
Madame Branislowski / Sally Cato - Brianna Danielle Swatzel
Breanna Danielle Swatzell is grateful for the opportunity to return the Leawood Stage Company. She was last seen at LSC as Widow Corney in (Oliver!). Danielle is a Theatre Instructor. She enjoys not only acting in both musicals and non-musicals, but directing as well. “I like to mix things up.” Some of her favourites include: Mary Poppins, Young Frankenstein the Musical, Lil Abner, Wizard of Oz, 39 Steps and Trojan Barbie. “I love the journey, the process of putting it together. Show time is glorious and sad at the same time. We work so hard for just moments with the audience. It's like Christmas!” She would like to thank her family for their constant love and support.
Jr. Babcock / Understudy Patrick Dennis - Drew Jones
Drew is thrilled to be a part of this cast and show. He was most recently seen as Bernardo in LSC's production of West Side Story. Drew has been involved with the KC Renaissance Festival and City Theater of Independence. He would like to thank everyone involved and you, the theater patrons for your support.
Pegeen Ryan / Featured Dancer - Zoe Marie Lepper
Zoe Marie Lepper is a sophomore at the University of Central Missouri studying Middle School Education with a focus on Speech and Theatre. This is her second production with Leawood Stage Company, previously playing a Sharkette in West Side Story. Some of her recent roles include Molly in Faust Theatre’s Production of Band Geeks and Antigone in Missouri Southern State University’s production of Jean Anouilh’s Antigone. She is thrilled to be a part of Mame!
Art Model / Messenger - Camille Breckenridge
Camille enjoyed her experiences on the Leawood stage as Consuelo in West Side Story, Fred in Once Upon a Mattress and a Londoner in Sweeney Todd. She was last seen at the Barn Players in The Crucible as a coven member, Alison/Anna in High Fidelity. She is excited to be back at LSC in Mame.
Peter Dennis / Elevator Boy / Understudy Young Patrick - Noah Bridges
Noah is thrilled to be making his Leawood Stage Company debut! Previous performance work includes Shrek the Musical, Joseph..., Ghost the Musical, The Lion King Jr, and School House Rock. Noah would like to thank his family and Shayne Daniel.
Featured Dancer - Madison Bragg
Madison is very excited to be preforming in her second production with Leawood Stage Company. Maddie was last seen at LSC as Grazielle in West Side Story and then in Bring It On with the Kansas Thespian All-State 2018 Show. She will be a Junior at Olathe East High School and is a dancer and company member at Crescendo Conservatory. Maddie would like to thank her family and friends for the continuous support and her bunny Missy.

Willa Walberg is very excited to be making her Leawood Stage debut. She has been doing theatre for nearly 12 years. She was just in 13! at Immeasurable Productions with choreographer Mindy Moritz.
