Have fun in this week-long workshop making prints of your drawings! We will learn about prints and typesetting. Students will draw a picture of their choice and will have help with designing a print. No previous art experience is necessary, and there will be plenty of help and encouragement. We will be carving linoleum blocks and the soft rubber EZ Cut to print the pictures in different colors onto paper. Then we will be adding titles, quotes, or phrases to the pictures using the collection of vintage type in the Athenaeum Print Studio. This will be a hands-on art class, playing with letters and pictures. Students will make an edition of 10 prints that they will be able to share with family and friends. Experience what printing was like before computers!

Materials: All materials will be supplied for the $20 fee, which should be paid to Morgan at the first class meeting.
