Annual Student Exhibition at the Athenaeum Art Center in Logan Heights
Students of the Athenaeum School of the Arts
Reception: POSTPONED
The annual student exhibition that was scheduled for the beginning of June 2020 at the Athenaeum Art Center has been postponed for the health and safety of our community.
Please stay tuned for a new date for an in-person exhibition or a potential online exhibition if an in-person exhibition is not feasible.
The Athenaeum holds several student and teacher exhibition events each year.

You can still catch faculty-member Jean Krumbein exhibition of portraits, still lifes, and landscapes on paper and canvas at Girard Gourmet during their open hours. We will reschedule the closing reception when it is safe and prudent to do so.
The next exhibition will be a whimsical ink and watercolor show of faculty-member Jill Badonsky’s joy-filled work. The opening reception for her show will be announced later.
Girard Gourmet is located at 7838 Girard Avenue, just up the street from the Athenaeum.

Teacher Exhibition in the Library Nook at the Athenaeum Music & Arts Library

The Library Nook in La Jolla has artwork by Athenaeum School of the Art's faculty artist Irina Gronborg on display. The Library Nook is located in the interior stairwell leading to the La Jolla art studio in the Athenaeum Music & Arts Library.

Barrio Art Crawl

Every second Saturday of the month, 6–8 PM
Join us for the Barrio Art Crawl, a self-guided art tour throughout the Athenaeum Art Center and participating art venues. View our exhibitions, check out a printmaking demo in our print studio, meet artists, participate in an art making activity, and get to know the neighborhood as you also visit other galleries and local businesses throughout Barrio Logan. Free and open to the public.
