Heather Holmes is an actress, writer, singer, and movement artist from Houston, TX. Heather earned her MFA in acting from The New School for Drama. She attended Spelman College and the University of Houston, where she earned her BA in English Literature/creative writing, with a minor in film studies. She has worked as a teaching artist in Dakar, Senegal, and has been a teaching artist in residence at Roanoke College, and most recently with George Street Playhouse. Heather is a lead artist facilitator with the There is a Field Community Residency series produced by Jen Marlowe’s Donkey Saddle Projects, and a recent participant in Naked Angels Theater Company's Issues Project Lab. She is an alum of the Hemispheric Institute's EMERGENYC emerging artists program, and has performed internationally and throught the U.S. Most importantly, she hopes to learn to dance like no one's watching.
