Small Children (ages 4 - 7)

Broadway Babies - $250 per 12-week course 

12-week course meets Mondays, 4:00 - 5:00 PM

Every actor starts somewhere and for our smallest actors, this is the class! Designed to provide small children with a creative outlet, Broadway Babies seeks to instill children with acting fundamentals (listening, following directions, focus) and develop cooperative “play” that will allow them to become solid performers later in life.  This class is repeatable up to age 7. Available in Spring and Fall Semesters.

No experience required.

Young Children (ages 8 - 11)

Intro to Acting for Kids - $375 per semester

12-week course meets Wednesdays, 4:00 - 5:30 PM

For children ages 8-12, this 12-week class will release the “dramatic side” of any young performer. Focusing on collaboration and teamwork, this course will provide the fundamentals to character development, “partnering,” and scene work in a creative and judgment-free atmosphere. The class will culminate with a performance by the students. No previous acting experience required. Available in Spring and Fall Semesters.

Intro to Acting for Kids: Comedy - $375 per semester (FALL ONLY)

12-week course meets Thursdays, 4:00 to 5:00 PM

For children ages 8 - 12, an introductory course focused on comedic acting.

Intro to Acting for Kids: Drama - $375 per semester (SPRING ONLY)

12-week course meets Thursdays from 5:00 to 6:00 PM

For children ages 8 - 12, an introductory course focused on dramatic acting.

Improv for Kids - $375 per semester

12-week course meets Tuesdays, 4:00 - 5:00 PM

This class is the ultimate beginner’s introduction to the art of improvising and is specifically geared towards younger students. The perfect way to build confidence, boost creativity, and provide the foundation for a unique (and fun!) theatrical style, this course will focus on the basic rules of improvisation, using games and exercises to build skills in an exciting and expressive environment. This class is repeatable up to age 12. No previous experience required. Available in Spring and Fall Semesters.

Teenagers/Young Adult (ages 12 - 15)

Acting for Teens - $375 per semester

12-week course meets Mondays, 5:00 - 6:00 PM

For young adults ages 13-17, this 12-week class is a great learning opportunity for fledgling young actors and experienced performers, alike. In this course, students will learn various stage-acting techniques and the process of creating a character primarily through movement, all while tracing the evolution of performance throughout theatre history – from Greek choruses to the “method” of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, and everything in between! No previous acting experience required.  This class is considered a "coaching" class that students can take multiple times.  No semester is the same as every session is tailored to the students enrolled. Available in Spring and Fall Semesters.

Improv for Teens - $375 per semester

12-week course meets Tuesdays, 5:00 - 6:00 PM

This course deals with the fundamentals of improvisational performance. Students will have the opportunity during this course to study in-depth the rules of improv, the various games improvers perform for audiences, and the ways in which improv can be used as an approach to scripted acting. This class is repeatable up to age 17. Available in Spring and Fall Semesters.

No previous experience required.

Lab Rats (ages 15 - 18)

12-week course, $250 per semester, meets Sunday afternoons, 1:00 - 3:00 PM

A Performance-based course, Lab Rats seeks to foster the skills developed in our improv classes and culminates each semester with a performance. This class is repeatable up to age 17.

PLT Academy (ages 15 - 18)

1-year membership, variable meeting times: generally meets Fridays, 4:00 - 6:00 PM

A performance-based course, Academy takes its students through the entire process of putting on a play. From dramaturgy to scene design, students work together to present a fully realized theatrical performance. Fundraising requirement. This class is repeatable up to age 17.

Adult Courses (Age 18 +)

PLT's Acting for Adults - $250 per 10-week course (online option available soon!)

10-week course meets Wednesday nights from 6:30 to 8:30 PM

For adults 18+, this 10-week class is a basic introduction to acting techniques for the stage as well as a refresher course for actors with previous experience. The course is designed to help actors develop the ability to play dramatic action honestly and believably, using realistic/naturalistic material. Exercises and improvisations exploring awareness, relaxation, observation, the senses, the voice, and physical and emotional life will be used. Students will work in preparation for an audition monologue to be presented for critique at the end of the class. No previous experience required. Available in Spring, Summer, and Fall Semesters.
