Passion, Creativity, Collaboration, Professionalism, Openness, Learning, Inclusiveness
In November of 2011, the Telluride Repertory Theatre and SquidShow Theatre merged their unique organizations to create a new entity: Telluride Theatre. The Telluride Repertory Theatre, formed in 1990, was known for community productions of existing plays, musicals and Shakespeare in the Park. SquidShow Theatre, formed in the summer of 2007, was focused on avant-garde company-based original work. The merge into Telluride Theatre formed Telluride’s first and only year-round theatre company. The companies united to create an innovative non-profit model that will grow Telluride into a recognized destination for theatre, and with the goal of offering high-quality programming, education and professional development to people in the Telluride region.
Sam has been doing music and theater since he was a wee one. He plucked his first bass at age 15 when no one in his garage band wanted to play bass. In 2008, he auditioned for the Squidshow production of “Big Love”, and hasn’t looked back since. Credits include: “Cataclysm”, “Wake Up”, “Dude & Bro”, “Little Shop of Horrors”, “Hands on a Hardbody”, “Dinner With Dionysus”, and many more. He also plays in a couple different bands.
Ethan studied acting and music at the University of Wyoming, and film score in LA. He has written music, performed and led ensembles, and has acted and sung in many Squidshow and Telluride Theatre productions. He feels very luck to have engaged in the full arc the company has taken thus far, and is excited to see it continue into the future.
