Led by East Coast drumming icon Tommy Igoe, The Birdland All –Stars are usually seen delivering powerful performances at New York’s renowned, “Jazz Corner of the World.” Most Fridays for the past ten years, audiences have become accustomed to being wowed by these talented artists. Now jazz enthusiasts in Wilmington will have the same opportunity.

For the first time in five years, this accomplished group of jazz musicians is leaving the Big Apple and hitting the road. You can catch The Birdland All-Stars Featuring Tommy Igoe performing at Thalian Hall on the Main Stage Friday, February 2nd at 7:30pm.

The versatility of the Birdland All-Stars is one of their standout features. For their appearance in the port city they have prepared new arrangements featuring the music of David Bowie, The Police and Steely Dan, as well as fresh treatments of iconic compositions by Charlie Parker, Chick Corea, and Herbie Hancock.
