Following the sold-out production of The Dixie Swim Club, this hilarious new comedy by the same team of Jones, Hope, Wooten, is sure to be a smash success!
There are roles for four women with age range 49 to 69. Come with your calendar with conflicts and be prepared to read from the script.
Here’s how to find us. At Monroe Crossing Mall enter the main entrance, go to center court and turn left. Look for ‘curtains’ on right.
Performance dates are September 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 29th, 30th and October 1st. Rehearsals are Sunday afternoons and Monday-Thursday evenings.

CAST of CHARACTERS (4)
RANDA COVINGTON – 49 years old
Prides herself on being logical; a successful feminist who has been unfairly downsized; has an unexpected temper; sometimes judgmental and a bit snooty; not always open to quick decisions or rule-breakers or spontaneous people; elegant and somewhat proper; obsessive about doing things right; wants women friends but doesn’t really know how to be a good friend yet.
MARLAFAYE MOSLEY – 57 years old
Earthy, boisterous, good ol’ Texas gal; spontaneous, friendly, loud, ready for anything; hates men who cheat (because her former husband did); fun and funny; overweight, a bit of a slob, hates exercise; doesn’t care about nice clothes, prefers comfort; a good friend who can always find something funny in every situation.
DOT HAIGLER – 69 years old
Daffy and endearing, wears glasses, hates exercise; a widow who regrets and resents that her beloved husband isn’t here to enjoy retirement with her; a little set in her ways, but always willing and ready to try something new or spontaneous; funny without meaning to be; a good friend who enjoys outings with the group.
JINX JENKINS – 53 years old
A fireball, pretty and fun-loving, always ready for an adventure; unlucky in love; manages a make-up store; can be a bit loud but means no harm; hates exercise, but is in great shape because she never stops moving; a bit of a boozer; moved from place to place because of her restless nature but now takes care of an older big sister who has Alzheimer’s disease; likes being a “life-coach” for others looking for happiness; bubbly and happy, refuses to give in to life’s unfairness.
GRANDMAMA (Brief cameo role, no lines) (Old)
Note: This character should be or look elderly, but needs to be able to faint in a realistic manner. Could be someone who works backstage. Appears only for a brief few seconds.
