Theater benefits
Community theaters are critical to the cultural life of their communities.
Community theater enriches the lives of those who take an active part in it, as well as those in the community who benefit from live theater productions. On either side of the footlights, those involved represent a diversity of age, culture, life experience, and a strong appreciation of the importance of the arts.
― American Association of Community Theater
Theater teaches us how to express ourselves more effectively…improving our relationships and the world around us.
Theater helps us understand people from other cultures, other than our own.
― Theater Communications Group (TCG)
The arts attract more residents to an area, which in turn attracts more businesses…interested in living in a community that has a better reputation, naturally brought by the arts.

HOW TO SUPPORT PLAYMAKERS
Donating
It is a pleasure to bring community-based theater to Union County. Plans for 2017 include comedies, a musical, murder mysteries, a new play day, youth productions and outreach to schools and senior center. This takes participation by the community and contributions. UCP is only partially funded by grants and ticket sales. As a non-profit we rely very heavily on donations from people like you. Your tax-deductible donation will help us fund our productions and expand our offerings, especially in the area of more expensive musical theater. We suggest donations at the following levels:
