Megan Slankard has independently sold nearly 40,000 copies of her five self-released albums, and she is currently touring extensively across the US, performing brand new songs from her planned 6th independent release in late 2018. Her fifth, and latest release, Running on Machinery, was recorded with the help of Nashville producer Alex Wong (Vienna Teng, Delta Rae), and her preceding album, A Token of the Wreckage, was recorded with help from David Bryson (Counting Crows) and Jerry Becker (Train). Megan and her songwriting have received national and international recognition: in 2017 she won first place in the Unsigned Only Music Competition (AAA Category) and was a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition, in 2016 she was a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition, and in 2015 she was a two-time "Vox Pop" winner in the Independent Music Awards, a finalist in the USA Songwriting Competition, and a semi-finalist in the UK Songwriting Contest.

Alex Wong’s curiosity has a varied appetite, and he’s always fed it well. A steady diet of projects as a solo artist, producer, composer, and fittingly, chef, has taught him that the connections between seemingly separate disciplines can be a source of inspiration rather than a distraction. "It's all creative expression—just in different dialects," Nashville-based Wong explains. His story has always been one of the nonlinear paths, of redefining boundaries. From his time in the major-label band The Din Pedals (Epic) to duo projects The Animators and The Paper Raincoat to exploring his own voice as a solo artist, Wong has constantly pushed himself to find new flavors to satisfy his creative hunger. Wong's commitment to indulging his curiosity has resulted in Latin GRAMMY-nominated production work (Miguel Bose) and album production projects with Delta Rae (Big Machine), Vienna Teng (Universal), and Ari Hest (Columbia), among others. It’s allowed him to criss-cross the globe, performing live at festivals like Coachella and Outside Lands, arenas in Mexico City and theaters in Europe and Japan.
