AMICI MUSICAE

Amici Musicae is a group of people who share a great interest in the arts, music in particular.  Everyone is welcome - just bring an inquisitive mind and the desire to meet new friends!  These events are free, though donations to the WSO are accepted and appreciated!  Your donations will support the WSO's education and outreach programs in our community.

An opportunity for classical music lovers to deepen their knowledge of music with the Amici Musicae Lecture Series.
The next course will be held at the Riverside Library on Tuesdays from 1.30pm to 3.30pm  from March 17th to May 24th, 2020.

Amici Musicae invites you  to celebrate the anniversary of the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth by attending a course devoted to his String Quartets. There is no doubt that, along with his symphonies and piano sonatas, Beethoven's string quartets lie at the very center of the concert repertoire and remain the single most varied and influential set of quartets composed in the 19th century.

The lectures are delivered  DVD by Prof. Robert Greenberg .  The Alexander Quartet will provide the audio version of some quartets.
