One of the most innovative Flamenco guitarists of his generation, Spain’s multi-Latin Grammy-winning Vicente Amigo has toured the world and been honored with many of his native country’s most important awards. A transcendent performer, composer, and producer, Amigo burst onto the major stages of flamenco while still a teenager and set out early on to explore the possibilities of fusions in his recordings and collaborations.

His list of international accolade includes a Latin Grammy for Best Flamenco Album (2017, 2001), being named Best Guitar Player by Guitar Player Magazine (1993), and winning First Prize at the Flamenco Guitar International Contest (Badajoz 1988). He was nominated for two more Latin Grammys in 2006 and 2013 (each for Best Flamenco Album) and won the “Patriarch of Flamenco” Award at the 2010 Flamenco Summit.

His recording career over the last 30 years is no less impressive, he has released eight albums, selling hundreds of thousands of copies worldwide. With his eighth studio record, Memoria de los Sentidos (2017 Sony/Legacy), Vicente Amigo has returned to his traditional flamenco roots. Vicente Amigo has also collaborated with José Mercé, Camarón, Sting, Alejandro Sanz, Rosario, Carmen Linares, Manolo Sanlúcar, Khaled and Miguel Bosé, and performed live with John McLaughlin, Al DiMeola, and Milton Nascimento.

For this concert, Amigo will perform pure Flamenco accompanied by guitarist Anil Fernandez, with Paquito Gonzalez on cajon and Rafael de Utrera on vocals.
